My name is Eunice E Macias

Legal Document Assistant.

I'm a dedicated Legal Document Assistant with a passion for providing comprehensive document preparation and legal support services. With a deep understanding of legal procedures and regulations, I assist clients in navigating complex legal documentation requirements efficiently and accurately.

My goal is to empower clients by alleviating the stress associated with document preparation and legal procedures. I take pride in my attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

With 15+ years of experience in the legal field, I have developed a strong foundation in law. I continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and stay updated on the latest legal developments.

Fun Fact: I'm the oldest of 9 children and have one handsome 4-legged son.

What is a Legal Document Assistant? (LDA)

For the first time, a new California law known as SB1418 authorizes non-lawyers to prepare legal documents for people doing their own legal tasks. Effective January 1, 2000, these non-lawyers, called Legal Document Assistants, may:

  • Prepare the customers’ legal documents under the direction of their customers

  • File the customers’ legal documents in the appropriate courts

  • A Legal Document Assistant is NOT a Lawyer.

  • By law, they cannot give you legal advice or represent you in the courts 

  • If you need to consult with an attorney, your LDA can provide you with a referral.

What does a Legal Document Assistant do? 

An LDA is an experienced professional who is authorized to prepare legal documents for a client, but only at the direction of the client. In other words, an LDA is there to assist the “self-help” client handle their own legal matters without the cost of an attorney.
