My name is Eunice E Macias

Legal Document Assistant.

I am a dedicated Legal Document Assistant with over 15 years of experience helping clients with document preparation and legal support services. I understand that legal paperwork can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process easier, clearer, and less stressful for every client.

I take pride in providing careful, professional, and confidential service. I assist clients with preparing legal documents accurately and efficiently, always at the client’s direction.

Fun Facts: I’m the oldest of 9 children, a proud new mom, and have one handsome 4-legged son.

What is a Legal Document Assistant? (LDA)

A Legal Document Assistant is an experienced professional authorized under California law to prepare legal documents for self-represented individuals at the client’s direction. An LDA is not a lawyer, cannot give legal advice, and cannot represent clients in court.

  • Prepare the customers’ legal documents under the direction of their customers

  • File the customers’ legal documents in the appropriate courts

  • A Legal Document Assistant is NOT a Lawyer.

  • By law, they cannot give you legal advice or represent you in the courts 

  • If you need to consult with an attorney, your LDA can provide you with a referral.

What does a Legal Document Assistant do? 

An LDA is an experienced professional who is authorized to prepare legal documents for a client, but only at the direction of the client. In other words, an LDA is there to assist the “self-help” client handle their own legal matters without the cost of an attorney.
